Commodity Watch: Copper futures advance on increased turnover

Copper futures rose 0.07 per cent to Rs 1,011.60 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for November delivery grew 75 paise in a business turnover of 9,527 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on spot demand
Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.55 to Rs 276 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.56 per cent in 229 lots.
Zinc futures gain on fresh bets
Zinc prices rose Rs 3.05 to Rs 301 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 1.02 per cent in a business turnover of 460 lots.
